Stained Glass Thank You Card
Hi friends,
Cheryl here with some fun ways to use one of Erin Lee Creative’s newest products: Stained Glass Stencil. Stencils are such fun tools. Their price point is excellent, and there are so many techniques that can be done with them.
First I’ll show the completed card. This is a very quick technique. Using blender brushes, I blended some Distress Oxide inks in three colors to get this ombre effect. All this panel needed was a sentiment, so I chose one of my go-to’s from Hummingbird Love (on sale right now for $9.99!). That set has gorgeous sentiments!
I then started to branch out with other techniques for this stencil, and I braved the world of embossing paste. I thought it would be scary and tough to clean up, but it wasn’t at all! I even tinted the paste with an ink refill. I wanted to see how this pretty pink looked on different shades of grey cardstock. Erin Lee Creative now carries Nuvo Glimmer Paste in all kinds of delicious colors, so give it a try!
These panels are unfinished, but I can think of some fun ways to turn them into cards soon. Stay tuned!
Thanks for visiting!
Cheryl
What a pretty stencil. I just learned of your company semi-recently, and really love your stencils. I have used your Folk one a few times already. This desingn—stained glass—is wonderful.
