Offset Stenciling Card with Lynnea
Share
I love stenciled backgrounds! I'm using an Erin Lee Creative stencil and showing you one of my favorite stencil techniques - offset stenciling. It's a basic stencil shift with a pop of color and contrasting black ink blending over the top!
I cut a white panel of cardstock to 4 x 5.25" and placed the Aztec Diamonds Stencil over the top. I blended on 3 colors of Distress Oxide Ink - Carved Pumpkin, Wild Honey, and Squeezed Lemonade for an ombre of yellow to orange. I wiped the stencil clean and replaced it on my background, but shifted it slightly right and down. Then I chose my darkest black ink and blended over the top. I love the effect!
I stamped my image from the Coffee Lover Kit and colored it with Copic Markers. I trimmed it out with scissors and popped it onto my card with foam tape. I stamped a sentiment from the same Coffee Lover Stamp Set and added it to the right side of the card to balance the design.
