Hearts & Stars Cards by Cheryl

Happy December, everyone!

It’s Cheryl, and I’m sharing two cards with you, using supplies from the October and November releases.  You’ll see they are very different cards.  It’s what I love most about Erin Lee Creative products--they can be mixed and matched and used in so many different ways.  You can find anything that fits your style!

First up is an encouragement card made with the Graffiti Heart Stencil, Stripe Sentiments stamp set and Stripe Die.

This was a fun project.  I masked off the stencil so I could use two inks.  First I blended a hot pink ink where the heart is, then I squished Versamark on the splatters so I could heat emboss in gold.  Masking was really simple, so I think I’ll figure out more color combinations in the future!

I then heat embossed this sentiment in white onto some gold cardstock.  That Stripe Die is just the perfect size!

I also love how my embossing powder left some glittery bits in the heart as well.  Hooray for happy accidents!

Next up is a fun Christmas card, using the Stripe Background stamp, the Star Burst die and a sentiment from the Winter Florals stamp set.  That font is so dreamy!

I love the red stripes with the teal!  It just reminds me of fun Christmas socks and elf hats!  I heat embossed that sentiment over one of the stamped stripes, and it fit perfectly.

But I think the best part is this Star Burst die, cut out of Holographic Cardstock.  It’s so hard to photograph, but my goodness, this cardstock is beautiful!  I popped up that star on some fun foam for dimension.

I hope this December is a good one for all of you!  Merry Christmas, and yes, you are strong!
