Guest Designer Vera Yates: Silly for Sloths

Hi peeps, Vera here back with some cute sloths. I always love playing with cute critter stamps. As soon as I saw the Sorry Sloth set, I knew I must have this adorable set.

Here’s my card using the zen sloth. Hah.. he looks pretty zen to me, so zen sloth is what I called it.

To make this card, I started by stamping & heat embossed the Aztec Background stamp with WOW! Super Fine White embossing powder. Love, love, love this background set. Then, I added various ink color to create the rainbow background. Trim the panel and adhere to the card base. Next, I stamped, die cut and colored the sloth. Adhere to card base with foam adhesive. Finish by adding the sentiment. And, there you have it. Cheerful, cute & colorful card. My kind of card. Hope you enjoy the card as much as I enjoy making it. :)

As I have mentioned, I love the Sorry Sloth set. I mean l LOVEEE it. Maybe, because I love animals and sloth is one of my favorite animals.

Here’s another card.

For the background, I used Tiny Squares stencil laid I at an angle and then ink it up with various color ink pad. Then I brush it with Spectrum Noir shimmer marker as I love shimmer on my card. Trim the panel and adhere it to the card base.

Next, stamp, die cut and color the sloths with Copic marker and adhere to card base with foam adhesive. Finish by stamping the sentiment.

Quick, clean & simple card without being boring. And, who doesn’t love rainbow background? In my book rainbow makes everything happier. That’s all from me today and may your day be a beautiful one.
